Zwift & Apple TV Sensor Connection Planner
Plan how your trainer and sensors reach Zwift before starting a ride. Separate physical connections from power, cadence and control roles, and spot occupied Bluetooth slots.

Do power, cadence and control use three Apple TV slots?
Not when the roles come from one physical trainer connection. Count independently connected devices, then map the roles each one actually provides. A separate heart-rate strap is another device.
Can every Bluetooth sensor connect to three receivers?
No. Capacity depends on the exact model and sometimes firmware. SensorMap uses documented Wahoo limits for listed products and marks other devices unknown.
Why can my sensor pair with a phone but disappear in Zwift?
Another app or nearby device may already hold its Bluetooth connection. Check simultaneous-receiver capacity, close unused apps and wake the sensor before trying again. Signal quality and battery state can also matter.
Does Companion make every accessory compatible?
No. It provides a supported bridge route for compatible devices. Check the exact accessory, phone permissions and current Zwift instructions; steering or virtual shifting has additional requirements.
Can two training apps control my trainer at once?
Use one control owner. Additional receivers can record passively when supported, but competing resistance commands can cause unexpected behavior even when enough Bluetooth connections exist.
Does this detect my sensors automatically?
No. You enter model and connection information. The planner does not connect to radios or collect workout or health measurements.
